Described as "coastal casual mixed with French chic", Sundry brings a unique vibe to The Sports Edit that we were immediately attracted to. We asked Sundry designer Mat Leblan a few questions so you can get to know the brand a bit better. Read on!
QYour hometown:
Aix-en-Provence, France
QFavourite way to sweat?
Surfing is always my first choice but if there isn't a swell I usually just try to fit in a run whenever I can.
QHow do you recover after a workout?
A cold pressed juice
QWhat’s the last thing you Googled?
Vintage surf boards
QWhat’s your favourite way to relax?
Traveling is the best way to get me to recharge. In a different environment I'm forced out of the daily grind and it's always inspiring to experience new things.
QHow did you get into designing activewear?
I was a graphic designer before and I got tired of being in front of a computer all day. I used my skill set and transitioned into putting graphics on clothing and it just snowballed from there. Sundry has evolved beyond just basics and graphic tees. Now we have full collections with a wide range of categories including casual active wear, which has grown into a strong business for us.
QIf Sundry were a person, what would their typical weekend plans include?
Never leaving the beach!
