Kombucha is a great addition to any spirit, and our recipes demonstrate how it can make a delicious addition to rum, tequilla, gin and vodka.

Alternatively for delicious mocktail option, simply remove the alcohol component in a recipe for a truly refreshing, fruity, alcohol-free drink.

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is a fermented tea. It comprises of tea, sugar, water and SCOBY, which is a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast.

These ingredients are left to ferment for a long time, to produce a deliciously refreshing and nutrient-dense soft drink.

It is thought that the antioxidants, enzymes and beneficial acids in Kombucha can help aid digestion and support a healthy immune system.

Mojito Kombucha cocktail

'Crate and Barrel'

A dark and stormy rum delight with a fresh ginger and mint kick

- 50ml JARR Ginger Kombucha

- 50ml Dark or spiced rum

- 20ml Freshly squeezed lime juice

- 15ml Lavender syrup

- 10g Fresh mint

Serve over ice with fresh lime and mint leaves.

Tequila kombucha cocktail

'Cooling Down'

Sweet meets sour with this refreshing mexican-inspired tequila cocktail

- 50ml JARR Original Kombucha

- 50ml Tequila

- 10ml Agave Nectar

- 50ml Grapefruit juice

- x2 Drop grapefruit bitters

- 12.5ml Cherry heering

Serve long over ice, with a grapefruit slice.

Contemplate kombucha gin cocktail

Reinvent a gin classic with this refreshing 'booch update

- 50 ml JARR Original Kombucha

- 50ml Gin (Vodka as an alternative)

- 8/10 Basil leaves

- 20ml Agave nectar

- 20ml Freshly squeezed lemon juice

Serve over ice with basil leaves

'Salted Almond'

A wholesome, tropical drink with a sweet and salty balance

- 50ml JARR Passion Fruit Kombucha

- 50ml Abelha Cachacha

- 20ml Freshly squeezed lemon juice

- x2 Drop celery bitters

- 15ml Orgeat syrup

- Pinch of salt

Serve in a salted rim jam jar with ice, cracked black pepper and a celery stick garnish
